THE FUR SEASONS RESORT FOR PETS IN STUART LAUNCHES DOG YOGA (DOGA)
CLASSES FOR OWNERS AND THEIR V-I-D
(VERY IMPORTANT DOG)
It’s hot in New York and Los Angeles. Now, thanks to The Fur Seasons
Resort for Pets in Stuart, dog yoga or DOGA is coming to the Treasure
Coast. The hour-long yoga classes will begin October 28th through
November 18th at The Fur Seasons Resort for Pets in Stuart. This unique
course helps strengthen the bond between dog and owner, increase lung
capacity, improve flexibility, strength, concentration and lowers blood
pressure. Cora Ciaffone, a Registered Yoga Instructor for 13-years, will
be teaching the course and assisting owners and their pets with the
various yoga/doga poses for both the dog and owner. “For thousands of
years, human beings have relied on yoga to heal and transform the body
and the mind,” says Cora. “Now, we are able to expand upon this amazing
practice and share these benefits with our dogs. This quality time with
our animal offers us the opportunity to meditate and transfer healing,
positive energy to our pet.” Experts also believe the practice of yoga
itself helps relieve back pain as well as pain prompted by arthritis.
Cora teaches most forms of traditional yoga and says that doga creates a
playful environment while teaching participants to be present in the
moment with no expectations.
HOW DOES DOGA WORK?
Each pet owner along with their dog will work together as a team,
stretching in various yoga and doga poses. The poses will be combined
with a unique massage and meditation process. The atmosphere will be
similar to a classic yoga course including serene music and a
comfortable practicing temperature. This series of classes is for dogs
under 30-lbs. Pet owners interested in registering can call The Fur
Seasons Resort for Pets at (772)286-8283.
The Fur Seasons Resort for Pets is an 8,000 square foot luxury dog and
cat boarding facility and pet spa featuring private suites, an in-ground
swimming pool, pet spa activities center and much more.
